The Kingsford City Council voted May 4 to ratify a purchase and development agreement with AE Moyle Homes LLC for seven city-owned lots on Evergreen Court.
City staff reported that AE Moyle Homes "has agreed to the price set by the City Council last year" and will adhere to a standard development period of one to two years. The agreement anticipates building seven homes, either with basements and about 1,800 square feet of living space or as split-level houses without basements, or some combination of those two types.
Meeting documents and staff comments estimated that each home "should have state equalized values (SEV's) of over $250,000," which the minutes say would significantly increase the city's SEV and help address a housing shortage in Dickinson County. The ratification motion was moved by Michael Flaminio and seconded by Angela Olson; the roll-call vote was unanimous.
Council did not record conditions or amendments to the agreement at the time of ratification. Staff will oversee the sale and track the developer's compliance with the agreed development schedule.
