Park board approves "do not feed the geese" signs and a ban on feeding waterfowl

The Alliance City Board of Park Commissioners voted to post signage from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources reading "do not feed the geese" and to add a departmental rule prohibiting the feeding of all waterfowl.
President Harry Paidas moved to post the signs "reading 'do not feed the geese' that recently arrived from ODNR, and to include a rule within the Parks Department prohibiting the feeding of all waterfowl." Jennifer Mastroianni seconded the motion. The board recorded a roll call: all in favor and the motion carried.
Board members did not record further debate on the policy at this meeting. Staff will implement posting of the signs and update department rules accordingly.
