Council considered and adopted ordinance 55-2026 to repeal ordinance 34-2026 and authorize a customer supply agreement with Archer Energy for natural gas to residential and small commercial customers beginning June 2026. Miss Browning said negotiations yielded a better rate and a longer 23-month term, describing the change as "more savings, same program."
Patrick Richardson introduced and moved the ordinance by title; the council approved it as an emergency measure. Browning said the change was intended to secure cost savings while maintaining the program structure.
