During Call to Audience, Connie Foley of 620 Shoreline Dr. addressed the board about the Fenton Bust and the need for better donation records. Foley noted a 1934 photo from the Centennial showing the Fenton Queen and said there is no paperwork documenting who donated the bust; she said a formal listing of donated items would be useful and mentioned interest in a loan-out program for artifacts.
Foley’s comments were received during the public-comment period and the board acknowledged the value of a donation list. The board’s inventory discussion and the appointment of an inventory keeper are intended, in part, to address provenance and loan-out questions Foley raised.
