During the regular meeting council carried a sequence of procedural and legislative items. Roll calls recorded unanimous 'Aye' votes on suspension of rules, inclusion of emergency clauses and adoption for Ordinance 26-18 and Ordinance 26-19. Later in the agenda the council adopted the ordinance authorizing the police radio purchase and adopted Resolution 26-25 to file the Safe Routes to School application.
Council also confirmed committee and board appointments across standing and ad hoc committees (public safety and sustainability, public improvements/planning/utilities, finance and administration, technology and digital infrastructure, parks and recreation, and various commission/board representatives). The mayor and committee chairs discussed the new standing Technology and Digital Infrastructure committee and appointed Dan Redding (chair) and other members for cross-training of responsibilities.
At the end of the meeting council voted to convene to executive session to discuss acquisition of property, litigation and security. The roll-call votes to enter executive session were recorded in the meeting minutes.
