Council moves committee restructuring ordinances to second reading; Planning ordinance alignment discussed

President Clark told the committee that Ordinances No. 26-18 and 26-19, which create and rename Council Regular and Standing Committees and set meeting times, would be moved to second reading and adoption at the Regular Meeting of Council. The committee packet also included a proposed amendment to Codified Ordinance Section 1109.03(d)(5) to align the Planning Commission with the newly formed Public Improvements, Planning and Utilities Committee; that amendment (Ordinance 26-21) was noted for second reading on the Regular Meeting agenda.
Councilman Dan Rettig reviewed the alignment change and said it would move duties from the former Planning and Zoning Committee to the restructured committee. Councilmembers indicated the appointments to committees, boards and commissions would be presented for approval at the Regular Meeting.
