District updates board on athletic-field, lighting and CT projects; elementary furniture delivered

District facilities staff briefed trustees on the status of several ongoing capital projects, including athletic fields, interior lighting upgrades, CT additions and elementary classroom furniture delivery.
The presenter described bid pack 1 (athletic fields), noting that electrical rework and transformer replacements had created contingency spending; "There's sort of 2 parts of that project... 1 are the big lights... 2nd part are the bleachers in the press box," the presenter said, and reported the cement pad for bleachers would be poured on Thursday. Interior lighting (bid pack 2) is largely complete in the high-school commons, and contractors have indicated they are ready to begin bid pack 3 (CT additions) as soon as schedules permit. The presenter said elementary furniture was delivered that morning and will be assembled onsite.
Board members had no objections and thanked staff; trustees moved on to budget and bond agenda items after the update.
