Presenters said the draft is not on a press timeline and that staff will circulate the digital draft to council and accept comments so the ordinance can be refined before legal review and eventual adoption. The presenters also said the draft includes provisions to set time frames for owners of fire‑damaged properties to take corrective action, a change requested by staff and council questions.
