Council hears proposal to update building and planning fees, shift notification duties to staff

Staff noted there would be no changes to local residential fees but that some development‑related fees would be raised to cover town costs.
The Planning Department also recommended shifting responsibility for certain certified public notifications from applicants to the Department so staff can ensure timely receipt and tracking; staff said that change will prevent cases being moved off the plan‑commission docket for lack of timely notice.
