Water-plant pump failures led to a temporary conservation order; repairs are in progress

City Manager Michael Johnson reported a mechanical issue at the municipal water plant: two pumps were brought back into service while two others were removed for inspection and repair. He said reservoir water levels are increasing and that the conservation order issued during the outage should be lifted later that evening.
Johnson said staff have been in contact with operators and that Jimmy Jenkins had been coordinating even while away. Council scheduled no separate action beyond repair and monitoring; Mr. Johnson described the operational steps underway and said he would update council when the conservation order is formally rescinded.
