Council received a first reading of Ordinance No. 2026-50 authorizing the City Manager to execute agreements and oversee work for the Lincoln Boulevard retaining-wall rehabilitation (City Project No. 2025-125); the ordinance describes engineering, right-of-way, utility relocation and bidding responsibilities. Separately, the service committee sun-shined an ordinance to authorize the City Manager to execute a project agreement for the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center roof replacement (Project No. 2026-126).
Both items were introduced as first readings or sun-shined committee measures; no final votes or contract awards occurred at this meeting. Council discussion indicated staff would return with contract documents, bidding steps and further implementation details before construction could proceed.
