Steubenville City Council on June 9 unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2026-51 in support of National Gun Violence Awareness Month. The resolution was moved by Mr. McManamon, seconded by Mr. Mayo and approved by roll call; Mayor Petrella read the resolution and presented it to Gail Worrels, who spoke briefly.
The meeting also included a proclamation recognizing Men’s Mental Health, presented by Mayor Ralph Petrella to Jesse Beckwith. Council took the actions during the opening ordinance-and-resolution segment of the agenda; no formal amendments or votes opposing the measures were recorded.
