The Bedford Planning Board on March 9 unanimously approved a Performance Zone sign waiver permitting up to 56.25 square feet of wall-mounted signage for the new Genesis dealership at 213 South River Road. Michael Harvey of Harvey Signs told the Board the dealership removed the words "of Manchester" from the design so the remaining letters could be larger and more legible from the roadway.
"by removing the ‘of Manchester’ portion, the size of the letters can get a little bit larger, making it easier to see from road," Harvey said, explaining the design change and the dealership's visibility concerns. Chair Hal Newberry and other members indicated no new objections compared with the prior approval, and Mr. Chris Bandazian moved to grant the waiver; Mr. John Nelson seconded. The motion passed with an all‑in‑favor vote.
The Board incorporated standard findings from the Performance Zone and included meeting minutes as part of the decision. No changes were required to the ground sign; the waiver addressed only wall-mounted signage. The approval references application materials last revised January 20, 2026, and the record indicates that staff determined the application complete and not of regional impact.
