Rowlett honors three Rivers brothers with certificates and Quilts of Valor

The Rowlett City Council recognized three siblings who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, presenting certificates and Quilts of Valor during the March 3 meeting. Mayor (speaker 1) and city staff introduced the honorees and invited the families forward for the presentation.
Volunteer Lori Coates identified herself as representing the Quilts of Valor Foundation and introduced Yvonne Knight and other volunteers who presented the quilts. "It is a privilege to serve, honor, and comfort you through the award of this Quilt of Valor," a presenter said while announcing recipients by name. The council and VROC noted this marks the city's 47th–48th veterans recognized through the program and thanked the honorees for their service.
