The Boyne City Board unanimously approved acceptance of a $6,200 donation from the Booster Foundation and the recommended distribution of those funds: $1,000 for track and cross country tent frame, $1,600 for a K–5 Doodle Start digital pen initiative, $1,100 for the middle school Innovations class Invention Convention and $2,500 toward 6th Grade Camp Daggett. Joel Schraw moved to adopt the consent agenda, including the donation approval; the motion passed 5–0.
Board members also noted the Rambler Impact Award winners who will be honored at the varsity awards banquet on May 12. The board discussed that Booster grant funds were lower this year because it was an off year for Paint the Town Red fundraising, and administrative recommendations for grant awards were acted on through the consent agenda.
