Beecher board holds executive session on personnel, adopts resolution to release certain session minutes; swears in John Galvin

Trustee Jess Smith moved that the board adjourn to executive session at 6:27 p.m. to discuss employment contracts and personnel; Trustee Roger Stacey seconded and the motion passed 6–0. The board returned from executive session at 7:29 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Todd Kraus, seconded by Trustee Joe Tieri.
Following the return, the board approved release of certain executive session minutes by adopting Resolution No. 2025‑10 (moved by Trustee Brian Diachenko and seconded by Trustee Roger Stacey), and approved an ordinance authorizing an employment agreement with the Village Treasurer and Office Manager (Ordinance No. 1447) on a 6–0 vote. Clerk Janett McCawley swore in John Galvin as Chief of Police during the meeting. President Marcy Meyer also read a proclamation recognizing Clerk Janett McCawley for more than 35 years of service and recognized Terry Lemming for four-plus years as Chief of Police.
