Hearing on 8 Buggy Whip Drive continued to Sept. 15 at applicant's request

The commission continued the public hearing for zoning case 26-35 (8 Buggy Whip Drive) to the Sept. 15, 2026 meeting to allow the applicant more time to consider potential uses and discuss options with staff.
Staff told the commission that the applicant for 8 Buggy Whip Drive requested additional time to reevaluate potential uses and the path forward for the property. Planning technician Benjamin Johnson reported a June meeting with planning management and the applicant and recommended continuing the public hearing to the Sept. 15, 2026 meeting.
“I met with the applicant in early June to, as, determined by planning commission to discuss potential other options for the space,” Benjamin Johnson said during his remarks. A commissioner moved to continue the public hearing to the commission’s 09/15/2026 meeting; the motion was seconded and approved by the commission. Staff and the applicant will use the continuance to refine proposals and materials for the next hearing.
