City staff said an administrative oversight left two planning commission seats listed as expired on Jan. 1, 2026. The council approved the recruitment and appointment schedule to open nominations, accept applications and have the personnel committee (currently the mayor and a council member) interview candidates and recommend appointments later this summer.
Staff noted the expired commissioners have continued to serve pending the recruitment. Appointments will fill the remainder of the expired terms. The council voted to receive and approve the proposed schedule.
