Staff reported the emergency water-main rerouting repairs at city hall are complete and asked the council to accept the project as complete and send the notice of completion so retention can be released after a 30-day lien period.
Staff said the leak has been repaired, inspections by Los Angeles County building and safety took place during the three days the contractor was on site, and the city received the permit on the day of the meeting. Staff also said a cost-saving substitution to HDPE pipe reduced expenses by about $1,800, with the final code-required copper remaining only in the last 10 feet.
Council moved to accept the work as complete, seconded and approved the motion with no opposition. Staff will file the notice of completion and release retention after the standard lien period.
