"Oracle was not only the low bidder, but the only bidder that proposed, you know, a complete bid package," Sisk said. Commissioners asked about salvaging parts for other elevators, warranty terms and ongoing maintenance. An engineering representative confirmed that salvage of usable components for other county elevators is built into the contract and staff said standard workmanship warranties (one year) are included; the county uses KONE for ongoing service.
After discussion, a commissioner moved to approve the contract and the board voted in favor.
