Westchester Jewish Community Services seeks CDBG funds to rehab Peekskill mental‑health clinic

Council members asked about the clinic’s Peekskill location and whether the project would include specific accessibility or programmatic changes. Proper and Basalom said the clinic is located in the 1101 Main Street shopping center and indicated the scope is facility rehabilitation to improve infection control and client comfort. Staff said the CDBG nonprofit forum is part of the application process and that the council does not need to act beyond allowing the hearing and application process to proceed.
The clinic requested county-administered federal CDBG funds; staff noted nonprofits must follow the county’s application limits and procedures when seeking the grant.
