Staff introduced a second reading of a new two-year lease with the Miami Valley Steam Freshers Association, explaining the document brings the arrangement up to current village standards on insurance, park rules and inspection requirements and includes modest adjustments to rental rates.
"This is a new 2 year lease," staff said, adding that the association and staff were aligned and ready to sign so the group can begin planning next year’s event. Staff recommended approval that night so organizers can proceed. Council members asked for questions; none were raised at the time, and staff indicated they would proceed with the final steps for approval.
