Members of the DeWitt County Board raised concerns April 24 that ENEL has not replied to repeated county requests for information tied to its special-use permit. Carter told the board the zoning administrator had attempted contact with ENEL without a response; Ferguson urged escalated enforcement and said the company appears to be ignoring county requests.
Ferguson asked that the zoning administrator formally document attempts and, if ENEL remains nonresponsive, forward materials to county counsel or enforcement staff to initiate ordinance-violation procedures. County staff explained the next step is for the zoning administrator to attempt further contact and then provide the documentation for potential violation filing if there is no response. No formal enforcement action was recorded at the meeting; board members asked for follow-up.
