Neighbors warn proposed access strip would encroach on driveways, create parking headaches

Several abutters told the Zoning Board of Appeals they were concerned the proposed 16-foot access strip would encroach on existing private driveways and generate parking burdens on nearby residential streets.
Dennis Fuller, who identified himself as living on Joe English, said the access strip runs adjacent to his driveway and that the plan would place his driveway within a couple of feet of the 16-foot strip. "I don't wanna have to move my driveway," he said. He asked the board for clarification about easement placement and whether the plan would force him to relocate infrastructure.
Sharon McCann and other neighbors asked where visitors would park to use the trail. Presenters said they had discussed parking with the chief and the town manager and tentatively identified a side area on Jessica Lane that could accommodate about three to four cars with signage directing users there. Neighbors pressed for stronger assurances to prevent spillover parking onto private property and for plan corrections to deed and right-of-way labels before any approval.
