Arvin City Council approves consent agenda including public works contracts and SB 1 project list

The Arvin City Council unanimously approved Consent Agenda items 4A–4H at its June 9 meeting by recorded vote 3-0. Items included approval of the payroll register for May 22, 2026; approval of minutes from the May 26, 2026 meeting; and a proclamation designating June 22–26, 2026 as National Boys and Girls Club Week.
The council also approved public works agreements: a CNG equipment removal contract with Kern Craft Construction (Resolution No. 2026-24; Agreement No. 2026-13) and a Walnut Street and 4th Street Pathways Project with Eclipse Construction Services (Resolution No. 2026-25; Agreement No. 2026-14). The council approved participation in the County of Kern Used Oil Payment Program for FY 2026–27 and adopted a Project List for the Road Repair and Accountability Act (SB 1) for FY 2026–27 (Resolution No. 2026-26). Item 4I (First Amendment to Agreement No. 2025-09 with Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP for city attorney services) was pulled from the consent agenda and continued to July 14, 2026 by unanimous motion (Motion CM Reyes; Second CM Perez; Vote 3-0).
