Olmsted Falls City Council voted March 24 to authorize the mayor to enter into a contract with Warwick for purchase and installation of a new phone system covering the administration building and public safety and service departments.
Finance Director Eileen Egan described the need: "This will purchase an entire new phone system citywide, with roughly 38 basic phones." She said the current system is outdated and no longer supportable; the resolution was suspended, the reading waived, and adopted on a unanimous 7–0 vote.
Council approved the emergency declaration and authorized the mayor to execute the agreement and support services. Council amended the agenda earlier in the meeting to add this resolution under New Business so it could be acted on during the same session.
