Thompson explained the new presentation method offers more comprehensive information than in prior years and said changes are intended to clarify budget reporting. She also said a draft budget amendment, prompted in part by unanticipated revenue and approved IT expenditures, is scheduled for the April 21 meeting and that she will circulate the amendment early so Board members have time to review it.
Thompson’s briefing included process details rather than specific dollar amounts in the staff meeting record. The Board did not take votes on the draft amendment at the April 13 meeting.
