Olmsted Falls council seeks quotes to stream meetings; council considers pre-submitted questions

Thompson described how other municipalities permit residents to submit questions in advance: "they also permit residents to submit questions prior to the meeting, not during the meeting," and said the city should evaluate whether it wants live interaction or a basic mounted-camera feed. Council members debated camera placement, a possible no-camera area for attendees, and how to retain records from a public meeting. Bartkowski noted equipment cost examples: "a main camera would be around $700," while discussing options for additional side cameras and audio solutions.
Council members agreed to request quotes from professional vendors to better understand pricing, audio integration, and storage options. Mayor Chad Gluss stressed the city must determine records-retention responsibilities and whether a paid platform or municipal storage would be required to avoid automatic deletion.
