The New Boston Select Board voted to recognize two items of unanticipated revenue during its meeting. The board approved accepting $10,743.61 from an energy-incentive tied to an audit of the town’s new fire station and separately approved placing $24,200 received from the sale of a transfer‑station backhoe into the general fund.
Brian DuBruel explained the $10,743.61 payment arrived after Resilient Buildings Group completed an energy audit and looped Eversource in on the project; he told the board the amount came from the utility’s incentive program and asked permission to retain the funds for energy costs. “So what I'm here for tonight is, to, accept unanticipated revenue in the amount of $10,743.61,” the presenter said. The board moved, seconded and approved the recognition under RSA 31:95‑b.
On the backhoe sale, the board heard that a machine listed on municipid sold on May 18 and the payment from Kaya Trucking LLC was delivered to town finance staff for deposit. Town members confirmed the sale exceeded the $10,000 threshold requiring a public hearing and authorized the funds’ use in the general fund. Both motions passed by voice vote.
