He noted the textbook fund remains low in expenditures to date but carries significant encumbrances from recent adoptions.

Board members asked whether the teacher had been named; Mr. Trump said the teacher’s name appears in the meeting packet and that the award is a pass‑through state grant.
Supervisor S6 moved to approve the appropriation. The chair called for a voice vote and the motion carried. Staff said the appropriation will be processed and that future similar awards may recur if the program continues to fund local teachers.
