On parking, staff noted the code standard used for the proposed use is four spaces per 1,000 square feet; staff and commissioners discussed whether required parking should be calculated on the combined square footage of the existing warehouse plus the proposed 6,000-square-foot addition. The applicant said the proposed layout shows 88 stalls and that current operations often seat many volunteers on peak nights, but commissioners asked staff to confirm requirements with exact combined square footage and to ensure any future building does not allow a long-term reduction in required landscaping.
