County Auditor/Treasurer Kit Johnson updated the Traverse County Commission on preparations for the 2026 election year and on ongoing work related to the county’s 2026 property tax administration.
Johnson told the board that a new process passed by the legislature, described in the meeting as "direct balloting," will be effective Aug. 26, 2026.
