The Amelia County Board of Supervisors voted to carry forward remaining state education funds that officials say will support tutoring programs and future school construction. School finance staff told the board the request covers $192,013.22 in All‑In program funds and $1,197,469.50 in state construction funds.
"As of the end of FY 25, remaining All In funds totaled $192,013.22," school finance staff said in their presentation, and asked the board to carry those balances forward to support tutoring services. On the construction side, staff said remaining state construction funds totaled $1,197,469.50 and can be reappropriated for their initial purposes until expended. The board approved the carryforwards by voice/hand vote.
Officials said no local match is required to carry forward either balance. The resolution authorizing the transfer instructs county administration to move the state funds forward when audit figures are available.
