Harvey County OKs requests for fish-stocking bids and a side-by-side UTV for parks

Parks Director Kass Miller presented a proposed invitation to bidders for 2025 fish stocking at the county's three parks and asked permission to seek bids for a side-by-side utility vehicle included in the department's CIP. He said stocking quantities, species distribution and dates were set within the department's budget and that "CFAP funding will be coming to offset the cost of the stocking." Commissioners voted unanimously to approve distribution of both requests for bid.
The agenda packet included a bidder's proposal template with proposed stocking dates and species breakdowns and a clause noting the county may forgo stocking if lake water is too low (seven days' advance notice). The motions passed without recorded dissent; staff will proceed with formal procurement per county purchasing rules.
