Commission reappoints Ambulance Authority members and approves sheriff’s JAG pass-through revision

The Randolph County Commission unanimously reappointed Jordan Godwin, Scott Harris, Steve Johnson, Ray Lamora and Merllene Yorkey to three-year terms on the Randolph County Ambulance Authority, with terms retroactive to July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. The reappointment request appeared in a letter from RCEMS Director Kurt Gainer included with meeting materials; Commissioner Kesling moved the reappointments and the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, the commission approved an in-house budget revision for the Sheriff’s Office to accommodate $5,198.95 in 23-JAG-36 pass-through funds. The sheriff’s attachment detailed distribution of those funds across participating jurisdictions; the revision was moved, voted and recorded as passed unanimously. Commissioners also approved payment of bills and a final settlement during the same agenda block.
