County Clerk moves Precinct 25 to Wees Annex; absentee and early voting dates set

County Clerk Brenda Wiseman told the Randolph County Commission that Voting Precinct 25 will be moved to the Wees Annex for the November general election because the Commission meeting room will be renovated into a new courtroom and likely unavailable. She said executive committees are recruiting poll workers and urged backups: "if anyone is interested in being a poll worker please call her office."
Wiseman provided the election timeline: her office began accepting absentee ballot applications on Aug. 13 and will accept them through Oct. 30; early voting will begin Oct. 23 and run through Nov. 2 at both locations, the same arrangement used in the primary. Commissioners acknowledged the logistics and the need for poll-worker recruitment ahead of the November election.
