Randolph County commissioners approved several routine funding disbursements and administrative items at the Dec. 5 meeting. The commission authorized annual disbursements as submitted: Valley Head Public Library $11,500; Appalachian Community Health Center $18,000; an initial allotment of $15,000 to the Elkins–Randolph County Chamber of Commerce; and $15,000 for the Randolph County Pool's winter and spring maintenance. Each motion passed unanimously.
County Clerk Brenda Wiseman presented a report and recommendation from Special Fiduciary Commissioner Heather Weese denying a claim against the estate of Roger G. Fussell (decedent died in 2009); the commission approved the report as submitted. The commission also approved eight final settlements and two state budget revisions (each $350) reallocating $350 for other fringe/contractual items for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office and County Clerk's Office; commissioners voted yes on each item.
Commissioners noted that some local tax dollars are used to fund these organizations annually and said they expect routine reporting and invoices to support the disbursements and budget entries.
