Randolph County adopts 'Operation Green Light' resolution, will light courthouse green

The Randolph County Commission on Nov. 7 unanimously adopted a resolution designating Nov. 4–11, 2024 as Randolph County's observance of Operation Green Light for Veterans.
Commissioner David L. Kesling read the resolution aloud during the meeting and moved its approval. The resolution encourages citizens and businesses to display green lights in recognition of veterans and to salute service members transitioning from active duty. "The Courthouse will be lit up with green lights for the Veterans," Kesling said.
The text of the resolution, adopted by the Commission, cites national statistics and urges community recognition through green-light displays for the week leading to Veterans Day. The resolution passed without objection.
