AC Transit seeks Piedmont feedback on 'Realign' draft; hearings set for Sept. 9–11

An AC Transit external-affairs representative urged Piedmont residents to review and comment on the agency's Realign bus-network plan.
"The AC Transit board has opened the public comment process and set public hearings on September 9th, 10th, and 11th," Diane Castleberry said, urging the city and community to submit comments by the September 11 deadline and noting the draft will go to the AC Transit board for a decision in October 2024. Castleberry said staff expect work toward a new network to begin as early as March 2025.
She left informational flyers with the city clerk and directed residents to act before the public-comment period closes; staff noted that written and hearing comments will form the administrative record for the Realign decision.
