Claire Arno and Dave Carroll, co-chairs of the Measure P campaign, addressed the board to ask for community support for the upcoming renewal of the district parcel tax. Carroll said the measure helps fund the schools and noted that the parcel tax has supported Piedmont schools for nearly 40 years.
Carroll and Arno solicited volunteers, endorsements and donations for the November renewal; they said they expected a campaign website to be live within a week to make donating and endorsing easier. The board thanked the co-chairs for volunteering and said it looked forward to working with them through the campaign period.
"Measure P… this is gonna be for renewal of our parcel tax. It helps fund our schools," one co-chair said, urging residents to vote in November.
