Vernon County Finance Committee reports $22.78 million cash on hand, $1.27 million delinquent taxes

At its April 8, 2025 meeting, the Vernon County Finance Committee heard the Treasurer's monthly report. Treasurer Karen DeLap reported, “Total cash on hand as of 3/31 is $22,778,909.97,” and said March receipts were $6,807,594.61; total delinquent property taxes stood at $1,270,689.29.
The committee reviewed vouchers and placed them on file and had no vouchers over $500,000 to consider this month. Committee members were also presented with the March 31 budget vs. actual report for review; staff did not propose any immediate adjustments to appropriations during the meeting. The committee set its next regular meeting for May 12 at 1:00 p.m.
