Commission accepts two emergency absentee ballots delivered to Buckhannon hospital

County Clerk Brenda Wiseman told the Randolph County Commission that two absentee ballots were delivered to a Buckhannon hospital by ballot commissioners on Election Day and presented them for review during the Nov. 12 canvass. Commissioner David Kesling moved to accept the two emergency absentee ballots "as submitted," and the motion passed unanimously.
Wiseman explained the chain of custody for the emergency ballots and provided the paperwork to the commission. The acceptance of these ballots was recorded alongside other absentee and provisional decisions the commission made that day.
