Elks: Randolph County pool and splash pad drew over 9,000 visitors in 2024

Stanley Teets and Amber Walsh, speaking on behalf of the Elks, presented a season summary for the Randolph County pool and splash pad. "For the 2024 season they had over 9,000 guests at the pool/splash pad," Walsh said, adding that the figure averaged about 113 visitors per day. The season included school buses, 4-H camp groups, YMCA summer camp children and 67 private parties.
Walsh told the commission the operation used 20 employees, recorded $23,000 in concession sales, hosted several free or donated community swim days and that passes for next season will be sold at a discount beginning in December. Commissioners thanked the presenters and noted upcoming maintenance needs after winterization.
