Councilman Rummler moved to prioritize the roundabout at Ridge/Canyon Crest, sidewalk improvements related to safety, and a traffic‑calming fund (capped at $50,000, focused on West Canyon Crest) and to direct staff to identify funding options; the motion was seconded and approved. Members emphasized that individual projects above administrative thresholds will return to council for specific approval, and they asked staff to evaluate grant possibilities and to model multi‑year funding and the potential effect on rates and bond decisions.
"I move to include the following projects as priorities in the fiscal year 2027 budget and instruct staff to determine how to fund them... the roundabout at Ridge And Canyon Crest; sidewalks improvements that relate to safety; and traffic calming measures with a fund of $50,000," Councilman Rummler said in making the motion. Council also left open park‑tax allocations and a separate motion to earmark modest funds for the Alpine historic‑preservation projects and Carlton shop improvements.
