The committee heard an update on county finance operations and staffing during the Feb. 19 meeting. Finance staff reported that, as part of the BSJ/Vernon Manor transition, BSJ will begin cutting payments starting in February while Cassie Hanan will retain authority to approve vouchers.
Hanan told the committee staff are discussing with the county auditor what information will need to remain on file. Finance director interviews were scheduled for the coming Thursday. Hanan also said she, Supv Kay Stanek, and Supv Lorn Goede will meet with Dan Foth of UW Extension to discuss the county's strategic planning process.
The committee did not take a formal personnel vote at the meeting but recorded the operational changes and the schedule for interviews and planning meetings.
