Piedmont Education Foundation outlines fall events and launches giving campaign

Heather Frank, executive director of the Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF), used her remarks to announce several fall events and the foundation's giving campaign. Frank said the PEF's mission is "to provide sustained financial support to Piedmont schools through fundraising and community engagement" and invited families to multiple September activities.
Frank outlined a New Family Welcome on Sept. 20 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for families new to the city or schools, a Harvest Festival and PEF carnival with Scarecrow Alley in Piedmont Park on Sunday, Sept. 22 (11 a.m.–3 p.m.), and a giving-campaign launch on Sept. 24. She said the Harvest Festival will showcase elementary student builders, with classroom scarecrows auctioned to raise funds for Beach Havens and Wildwood.
Frank asked community members to volunteer and participate; trustees thanked her and said the board would "save those dates." The announcements were presented during the meeting's opening remarks and are intended to support school programs and family outreach.
