Railroad Days, NCES car show and Pumpkin Fest scheduled; committee coordinates vendors and dates

Railroad Days (Aug. 6–9) preparations were discussed and signups distributed; the NCES Car Show is set for Sept. 19 (raindate Sept. 20) with a collaborative vendor market; Pumpkin Fest is scheduled for Oct. 18. Committee discussed vendor map support and Lone Oak Campsite collaboration for the Tag Sale.
The committee reviewed upcoming events and distribution of promotional materials. Railroad Days is scheduled for Aug. 6–9; flyers and brochures were discussed and distributed and SignUp Genius has a live signup for volunteer roles. Chair Jenn Crane expressed optimism that shifts will fill given a lighter workload this year.
The NCES Car Show is planned for Sept. 19 with a raindate of Sept. 20; the committee will collaborate with the school to hold a vendor market alongside the car show. Pumpkin Fest is set for Oct. 18. Separately, the committee is exploring a collaboration with Lone Oak Campsite for next year’s Tag Sale (Lone Oak’s date is the first Saturday of June and their field has about 70 spots); NCEC would still offer a weekend option and provide the event map.
