Commission approves $83,987.64 gravel contract for CP 26-01

The Traverse County Commission unanimously approved the gravel project quote CP 26-01 to CT Sibson Gravel and Crushing for $83,987.64 on April 21, 2026. The motion was made by Commissioner Chad Metz and seconded by Commissioner Dwight Nelson.
County Engineer Chad Gillespie also presented grant and contract documents for box culvert projects on CSAH 6 (projects 078-606-026 and 078-599-058) and asked the Board to sign the agreements. Gillespie said dust-control notices had been sent to affected property owners as part of routine project communications. The Board signed the presented documents and authorized staff to move forward with the listed highway work.
