Johnson recommended purchasing a replacement for $6,093.00 rather than leasing a machine for $7,262.40 over five years; the board approved the purchase unanimously.
Separately, the board adopted a resolution authorizing the Traverse County Auditor/Treasurer and designated payroll staff to make electronic funds transfers in 2026 under Minnesota Statute 471.38 Subd. 3 and 3a. The resolution requires a monthly presentation of a list of all claims paid that include electronic funds transfers as part of policy controls.
