Trustee Hilliard reported that Illini Asphalt started road work at 7:30 a.m. and finished at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 18; Church Street and Crackersneck received double coats while other streets received single coats and Heern Street was thinner at the top.
Trustee Wolff reported that mailboxes on McGuire Road Extension were hit and have been replaced with individual boxes. Trustee Dalton asked why tree debris from a recent storm had been removed from Makanda Road but left in the ditch; the board discussed the work but did not identify who performed it.
Trustee Hilliard recommended the village update its mileage reimbursement amount to match the State rate. No formal motion to change the reimbursement rate was recorded in the minutes; trustees discussed the suggestion.
